An Instagram piss-take on influencers.

When we were asked to introduce its mascot, Bellpug in Japan, we knew the timing was perfect. What with OTT influencers taking over socials and frankly, our sanity, we knew it was time for a comedy saviour. So we let Bellpug off the leash by making him the Pugfluencer who parodies travel influencers and ridiculous social media trends.

Today, Hotels official Japan IG account is actually a parody account of travel influencers. And just like that, we got our superstar pug a cult following overnight. Knock yourself out at @hotelsdotcom_jp
